Abstract
The pressure regulator for compressed air supply systems, esp. for vehicles, has an outlet valve with closing spring whose valve body can be placed in the open position by a switching piston to allow compressed air delivered by a servo valve to pass into a switching space. It is designed for reduced noise disturbance during switching-off. The switching piston is divided into an equalizing piston (27) for the outlet valve (29, 30) and a switch-off piston (24) with effective surfaces (25, 26) of different area on the leading and trailing sides. The equalising piston is tensionally connected to the outlet valve body (28).
