Abstract

The jaw type crusher has a frame with two lateral cheeks in which the moving jaw (12) is held by a hinged flap on a slide. The slide fits between the cheeks, and across these in openings forming the slides are wedges (22, 26). These can be placed between the slides and the openings. Hydraulic rams (30) press on the slide to press on the slide to press on to or free the wedges. The rams are in the plan of the cheeks at each end of the slide way.
