Abstract

The multi position dashboard switch system (1) is used in a vehicle. It has a series of illuminated panels to indicate the switch setting. A single bulb illuminates the switch panel while a movable shutter provides illumination on the relevant panel. The shutter is made from light modulating material and has a cutout to direct a clear beam onto the selected panel while keeping all the other panels dark.
