Abstract

L'invention concerne un nouveau complexe antibiotique appelé complexe d'acide figaroïque et un procédé de sa préparation. On cultive une souche de streptosporangium productrice d'acide figaroïque dans un milieu nutritif aqueux renfermant des sources assimilables d'azote et de carbone, en conditions aérobies submergées, jusqu'à ce que le micro-organisme ait produit dans le milieu de culture des quantités importantes de complexe d'acide figaroïque; le nouveau produit de l'invention est caractérisé entre autres par les courbes d'absorption dans l'ultraviolet indiquées. Le complexe d'acide figaroïque est utile notamment comme médicament antibiotique et comme agent antitumoral.
