Abstract

The window is particularly for use on the outside of a tall building, having a metal frame with fixed glazing or hinged glazed portions. The frame and/or the glazed portions each comprise internal and external casings of steel angle, spaced apart and welded together via connecting bars. The welds can themselves form the bars, or there can be lengths of round bar at intervals between the casings and welded to both. The bars can be arranged in rows, those in one row being offset from those in the other, and there can be intermediate casing of angle or perforated steel.
