Abstract

Elément absorbeur d'énergie destiné à être interposé entre deux éléments de structure solidaires, susceptibles d'être soumis à un choc. Il comporte une enveloppe métallique tubulaire fixée à un élément de structure, contenant sur au moins une partie de sa longueur une cartouche de matériau élastomère, et un organe métallique coupant relié à l'autre élément de structure, monté dans ladite enveloppe au voisinage de l'extrémité de ladite cartouche pour, lors d'un choc, être entraîné dans le matériau élastomère et traverser la cartouche sur au moins une partie de sa longueur. Application, notamment à la réalisation de dispositifs de protection << anti-crash >> pour sièges d'hélicoptères.
