Abstract

The body (4) is made up of two cheeks (7). These are circular and held together by a central cylindrical part (8). The cheeks support the ends of two shafts (9, 10) parallel to the perpendicular through the body (4). On the end of one shaft (9) is a small pinion (11). This pinion engages with a larger toothed wheel (12) keyed on the other shaft (10). This shaft is solid with a hollow part (13) shaped to fit in the wheel nuts of the wheel to be removed. The other shaft (9) has an end (14) shaped to take the operating spanner (5). At the top of the body (4) is a cylindrical recess to take a jack handle to lock the body from rotating in use.
