Abstract
The radiant heating element, which is heated via induction is used in a high temperature laboratory kiln used in chemical analysis. It is made from carbon or graphite and is surrounded by an inert gas atmosphere. The heating element may be in the form of a crucible used for heating ceramic elements containing oxides or not sufficiently conductive to be heated via induction. The resistance of the heating element may be matched to the internal resistance of the HF generator.
