Selon l'invention ses mâchoires peuvent recevoir des gaines de forme et dimension variables réalisées en diverses matières. La pince est utilisable pour la traction de câbles métalliques de diamètre et de matière variables par exemple pour tendre les câbles des lignes électriques aériennes.
