Pompe à engrenage comportant des roues dentées engrenant entre elles et tournant dans un seul sens, dont l'une est menante et l'autre menée, dans laquelle les deux roues dentées sont logées dans un carter comprenant plusieurs pièces dont deux sont des flasques d'étanchéité, dont, soit dans les flancs actifs des roues dentées, soit dans la face interne de l'un des flasques du carter, est prévue dans la région du profil actif de la denture, au moins une gorge ou rainure de section variable.
