Abstract

a. Interrupteur de circuit b. Il comprend deux contacts renfermés dans un récipient rempli d'un gaz d'extinction, une buse isolante entourant les contacts pour former une chambre d'arc et une chambre de gaz mise en communication avec la chambre d'arc lors de la séparation des contacts. La pression du gaz dans la chambre d'arc et dans la chambre de gaz est augmentée par l'énergie de l'arc formée lors de la séparation des contacts. Lorsque le courant de l'arc est important, l'écoulement du gaz depuis la chambre d'arc et de la chambre de gaz est réduit par l'arc tandis que le gaz est déchargé à travers la buse isolante dans le récipient lorsque le courant de l'arc est proche de zéro pour interrompre l'arc c. Application : disjoncteurs.
