Abstract

La présente invention est relative à un procédé et un dispositif pour corriger les vibrations qui apparaissent dans un pneumatique d'un véhicule roulant à sa vitesse de croisière. Dans un dispositif selon l'invention, on fait rouler un pneumatique 17 sur un rouleau 23 simulant le sol, à vitesse de croisière Les vibrations engendrées par un défaut de symétrie portant le pneumatique et celles qui proviennent de la déformation irregulière du pneumatique sous l'effet de la force centrifuge sont captées séparément, par exemple par des capteurs 34, 35 et 26, 27 reliés les uns au pneumatique et les autres au rouleau 23. Les défauts sont corrigés séparément, par exemple par des dispositifs de meulage 41 et 29, actionnés par un calculateur 28. Application à l'automobile.
