Abstract
The exhaust steam from the turbine enters the collector and then flows through banks of tubes arranged in the form of an inverted V. The tubes have circumferential fins to increase the rate of heat transfer to the air blown over them by fans. The air outlets are so arranged that the cooling air flows twice ove the finned tubes. The condensate flows into the tank from where it is removed by the pump controlled by float valve. An air pump removes any air which has been entrained by the steam.
