Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif comportant un modulateur de lumière, notamment une cellule à crital liquide. Dans ce dispositif comportant deux polariseurs linéaires 1, 4, deux plaques de support 2, 3 enserrant un milieu à état optique commutable 10, ainsi qu'une plaque fluorescente 5 et une feuille absorbante 6, il est prévu des fenêtres de sortie de la lumière réalisées sous la forme d'encoches 12 dans la plaque fluorescente 5, et les surfaces 13 diffusant les lumières sont situées entre les encoches 12 et le milieu 10. Application notamment aux dispositifs électro-optiques d'affichage, en particulier de montres-bracelets.
