Abstract

A manually operated, volumetric dispenser for fluids comprises a hollow cylinder contg. an axially displaceable spring returned plunger. The cylinder comprises two axially-aligned, end-to-end sections, detachably fixed together by screwing or clamping etc. At opposite ends of the cylinder, one section presents an axial discharge nozzle while the other section has an axial passage for a plunger actuating button at one end of an axial rod. The plunger at the other end of the rod is made up of two axially spaced collars sepd. by an annular channel. When the button is depressed the annular channel passes right through the nozzle carrying a measure of fluid from the cylinder. The nozzle is sealed behind the annular channel by the inner collar. The rod can be screwed back through a nut to retract the outer collar inside the nozzle which then serves as a refilling orifice. Hand operated, volumetric dispenser for powders, granules, liqs. etc., partic. contg. medicaments or foodstuffs, such as spices, flavourings, dressing. The dispenser is simple to make and easily operated. The volume delivered remains constant and the reservoir is easily recharged.
