Abstract

a. Procédé dans lequel les pores de la structure sont au moins en partie remplis avec un ou plusieurs moyens d'imprégnation susceptibles d'être carbonisés et ces moyens d'imprégnation sont carbonisés dans les pores de la structure par un traitement thermique. b. Procédé caractérisé en ce que, comme moyens d'imprégnation, est utilisé un mélange contenant 35 à 70 % en poids d'une résine durcissable et 0 à 65 % en poids d'un solvant liquide, et la structure imprégnée est chauffee, pour carboniser le moyen d'imprégnation, avec un gradient > 3 K/h à une température entre 800 et 1 300 degrés C. c. Procédé applicable à la fabrication de structures en carbone ou en graphite à haute résistance et bonne imperméabilité.
