Abstract

The two-piece hinge-pin assembly is for use in hanging doors, and comprises an eyelet screw (2) which supports the hinge pin (12) on an oval plate (10). A threaded dowel (11) projects from the underside of the plate (10) and passes through the eyelet (9) to affect the assembly. The axes of the dowel (11) and the pin (12) are parallel but offset laterally. The eyelet (9) is also of an oval shape, and the dowel (11) receives a nut (20) and a washer (18) to secure the fitting. As an alternative the dowel (11) may be cottered in the eyelet (9), and the eyelet (9) may take the form of a cylindrical sleeve.
