Abstract

L'invention concerne des particules expansibles de polymère de styrène et un procédé pour leur préparation. Les particules expansible de polymère de styrène comportent à leur surface un ester d'un acide carboxylique aliphatique et d'un alcool aliphatique, l'ester n'ayant pas de radical hydroxy dans sa molécule et étant solide à la température ordinaire, ou un mélange de cet ester et d'un lubrifiant finement divisé. L'invention s'applique en particulier à l'accroissement de la productivité d'articles moulés constitués de particules expansées de polymère de styrène par diminution du temps de refroidissement lors du moulage.
