Abstract

The telescopic jib for a crane has a fixed part (1) and another moving part (2) and a further moving part (3). These are assembled telescopically and controlled by a double acting ram (4). The ram body (40) is joined to the fixed part (1). The ram rod (41) is fixed to the first moving part (2) and moves it in one direction. A control cable joined (a) to the fixed part (1), and (b) to the second moving part (3), passes over two pulleys (6, 7), with their shafts (60, 70) solid with the first moving part (2). A board for flexible electric cables, pneumatic or hydraulic pipes is attached (10) towards one end of the fixed parts.
