Abstract

A lift truck is fitted with a clamping device to enable it to grip the sides of bulky loads. A flat rectangular box forms the body of the clamp and has two parallel guides for the sliding arms. Each arm has a pad bolted on at the outer end. The arms are moved by means of hydraulic jacks mounted at the top and bottom edges of the body. The jacks are covered by angle sections and the whole assembly is fixed to the lift of the lift truck.
