Abstract

Les compositions de l'invention sont constituées d'un poly-carbonate aromatique thermoplastique auquel on a ajouté de petites quantités de polytétrafluoroéthylène formant des fibrilles et d'un sel de métal alcalin d'un acide minéral; dans un mode de réalisation préféré, on ajoute également pour accroître l'inflammabilité, de petites quantités de chlore ou de brome à liaison aromatique. L'invention s applique en particulier à des compositions que l'on a rendues ininflammables par addition de petites quantités d'additifs peu coûteux présentant une bonne stabilité thermique et de bonnes propriétés mécaniques.
