Abstract

L'invention concerne une formulation d'agents de dopage permettant d'obtenir des articles en verre ayant des caractéristiques physiques modifiées selon un gradient de la périphérie vers le centre Selon l'invention on part d'une structure verrière ayant une composition molaire d'au moins 85 % de SiO2 et on incorpore les agents de dopage constitués d'au moins 7 % en poids d'un élément choisi dans le groupe comportant PbO et Bi2 O3 et au moins 1,5 % en mole d'au moins un élément choisi dans le groupe comportant K2 O, Rb2 O et Cs 2 O. Application à la réalisation de fibres de verre présentant des propriétés optiques améliorées (grand angle d'ouverture numérique et faible perte par diffusion).
