Abstract

The boiler fired with liquid or gaseous fuels has combustion chamber which is not directly cooled with water. The heating channels are parallel to combustion chamber or run helically around combustion chamber. The combustion chamber shell is covered partly or wholly with lagging layer. A deflector baffle (21) in the furnace chamber (26) reduces the chamber length. The enclosing shell is separated from the combustion chamber shell (29) at the junction of the baffle. The combustion chamber shell has radiation protection shell and thermal insulation is fitted between the combustion chamber shell and radiation protection shell.
