Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une polyoléfine réticulée, caractérisé en ce que l'on fait réagir une polyoléfine qui est un polyéthylène ayant une densité inférieure à 0,93 et un indice de fusion compris entre 0,1 et 0,5 g/10 mn, ou un mélange de polyoléfines contenant, comme constituant principal, un polyéthylène de densité inférieure à 0,93, sur un composé génerateur de radicaux libres et un silane organique répondant à la formule générale RR'SiY2 , dans laquelle R représente un radical hydrocarbure ou hydrocarbure-oxy monovalent à insaturation oléfinique, chaque Y représente un radical organique hydrolysable, et R' représente un radical hydrocarbure monovalent, à l'exception des radicaux hydrocarbures à insaturation aliphatique, ou un radical Y, pour former une polyoléfine greffée de silane, en ce que l'on mélange celle-ci à un catalyseur de condensation de silanols, et en ce que l'on chauffe le tout.
