Abstract

In the chamber, conditioned air is circulated to control the temp. and relative humidity of the atmos. in the chamber. The chamber is in the form of a tunnel in which the conditioned air is circulated via longitudinal, full-length, perforated ducts located in upper and lower zones of the tunnel. A circulating fan and conditioning units are pref. located outside the tunnel to supply conditioned air via two floor level ducts located against opposite sidewalls of the tunnel. Used air is returned via a single duct extending centrally along the underside of the tunnel roof. The tunnel can be included in a continuous prodn. flow line for high output of prod. which is carried through the tunnel on wheeled racks.
