Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de réduction de tiges de tabac en vue d'obtenir des éléments fibreux. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à tronçonner les tiges de tabac, à séparer les parties ligneuses et la moelle des tronçons obtenus et à défibrer lesdites parties ligneuses. Les fibres obtenues sont utilisées après un classement judicieux, pour partie directement, en mélange à fumer et pour partie dans la fabrication du tabac reconstitué.
