Abstract

Convertisseur numérique-analogique utilisant une technique de quantification à deux niveaux. Pour la conversion de signaux PCM en code à densité d'impulsion, on utilise des additionneurs et registres logiques classiques disposés en boucle de rétroaction où un signal d approximation qui constitue le signal codé en densité d'impulsions, est comparé de manière répétitive avec le signal PCM et la différence est accumulée; à la fin de chaque opération, le total est testé et la valeur du signal d'approximation pour le cycle suivant est choisie de manière à réduire le total accumulé. Application notamment à la conversion des signaux de communication téléphonique à modulation linéaire par impulsions codées en signaux analogiques.
