Abstract

The electrified fencing prevents straying of animals onto crops by use of a probe with indicator lamps to indicate that power in the pulses is correct. A probe tests electrified fencing using a body (1) of insulating material with a guard (5) to prevent the operator's hand from touching a metal probe (2) in contact with a conductor (15). The probe point connects via a resistor (4) to neon indicator lamps (9, 10, 11) connected across resistors (5, 6, 7) in series. These resistors connect via a conductor (8) and cable (18) to a connector (19) for linking to an earthing probe (21) with metallic point (23). This closes electrical circuit permitting lamps to indicate.
