Abstract
1,126,634. Instrument for locating acupuncture points. LENINGRADSKY OPYYNY ZAVOD. 8 Dec., 1965, No. 52002/65. Heading A5R. A device for locating, on the skin, points suitable for acupuncture comprises a circuit (see Fig. 1) for detecting voltage variations in the patient's body and including electrodes 4, 5 adapted to be disposed in electrical circuit with the patient's body, an indicator 11 adapted for operation only at a predetermined voltage value, and a controllable semi-conductor D.C. amplifier (triodes 1, 2, 3) having an independant D.C. source of electric power 15 in circuit with the electrodes and indicator and adapted to amplify varying voltage signals resulting from varying the location of at least one of the electrodes and to transmit said signals to the indicator whereby operation of the indicator is effected only at a point suitable for acupuncture. The device may be as shown in Fig. 2 with the amplifier and supply source in the body of one of the electrodes 4, and connected by means of a flexible wire 6 to the other electrode 5 which serves as a feeler and into whose body is mounted the indicator 11. Alternatively both electrodes, the amplifier, the supply source and the light indicator may be mounted in one body (see Fig. 3).
