Abstract

On effectue le désétamage électrolytique de pièces de fer dans un bac électrolytique ouvert contenant un électrolyte constitué par une solution aqueuse chaude de soude caustique que l'on fait circuler en circuit fermé dans ce bac et dans une chaudière de chauffage. De la région du fond du bac 10 par un conduit d'évacuation 20, menant à l'entrée d'une chaudière 22, par exemple du type Cornovaglia. Dans ce conduit d'évacuation 20 est intercalée une pompe d'entraînement 24, qui fournit à la chaudière 100 litres à la minute d'électrolyte provenant du bac 10. De la sortie de la chaudière part un conduit de recyclage, comprenant un premier tronçon 26A et un second tronçon 26B. Dans le tronçon 26B, qui débouche dans le bac 10 au-dessous du niveau de l'électrolyte, est intercalée une soupape d'étranglement 28, tarée de manière à assurer, dans les conduits 26B, 26A et dans la chaudière 22, une contrepression de 2 atmosphères. Application à la métallurgie de l'étain.
