Abstract

A first optoelectronic device is mounted on a support element in the form of a ring. A cup-shaped element is then mounted onto the mobile part of an actuator which provides X- and Y- displacement; this element has a hole whose dia. is adjusted so that it fits an optical fibre. The cup shaped element is then positioned w.r.t. the ring support element so that the edge of the cup-shaped element makes a sliding contact with the edge of the ring support element. A second optoelectronic device is then fitted to the cup-shaped element so that it is aligned with the hole which is positioned axially between the two devices. One of the devices is a photoemitter and the other a detector. Finally, the two devices are supplied with power and the detector's output is connected to the control circuits of the actuator.
