Abstract

La présente invention concerne un réacteur à haute température comprenant une chambre centrifuge et au moins un élément de chauffage à l'arc. La chambre a une paroi périphérique et des parois opposées terminales, une paroi intérieure concentrique à la paroi périphérique et se prolongeant sur les parois terminales à une certaine distance de celles-ci. Un ou plusieurs éléments de chauffage à arc débordent de la chambre et à travers les parois intérieures et périphériques et présentent en aval une sortie débouchant tangentiellement dans la chambre. La chambre présente une sortie en haut pour les produits légers et en bas pour les produits plus lourds (métaux). Application à la production de zirconium et de titane à l'aide d'un élément de chauffage à arc.
