Abstract

L'invention décrit un procédé de production de fonte à teneur réglée en Si. On prepare une charge initiale de cubilot ayant une teneur en Si inférieure à la teneur requise; on fait fondre cette charge; on fait parvenir la masse fondue dans un récipient de mélange; on augmente sensiblement la teneur en Si de la masse fondue en lui ajoutant du carbure de silicium granulaire dans le récipient de mélange tout en agitant cette masse afin d'obtenir un bon mélange; et l'on fait parvenir la masse fondue, à teneur enrichie en Si, dans un récipient de maintien ou dans une conduite menant au moulage. Le procédé permet d'amples ajustements de la teneur en Si.
