Abstract

In the radiator, vertical heating pipes (1) have, on two longitudinal sides lying diametrically opposite in cross-section, in each case a conical groove, into which the angled edges of the covering sheets (2) are clamped securely by means of a press wedge (3). An upper and a lower manifold (4) are inserted in each case through a passage hole on the two ends of each heating pipe. The passage hole lies perpendicular to the axis of the heating pipe, the pressing force of the manifolds bored on one side for the liquid passage being generated by in each case a screw (6) which is located in the end of the vertical heating pipe, which end is separated by the passage hole. The wedge connection between covering sheet and heating pipe results in good heat transmission as a result of the large-area contact.
