Abstract

One part (1-7) is hollow and is used for hot water ciiculation, while the other part (8) is flat and can be removably fixed on the first part. The hollow part has exterior pieces (18, 20,21) for its screwed jointing to a contiguous element, and its ends are shaped and prepared to take one or several filters. The filters remain in front of the entry and exit of the hot air conduit made by radiation wings. The wings remain at the front of the assembly while the corresp. longitudinal water circulation chambers (6) remain at the rear.

Description

The present invention relates to improvements introduced into the manufacture of elements for heating convector radiators, with these improvements the drawbacks which the usual embodiments entail, which can be summarized in the following points: a) As they are obtained by molding, they pose problems when extracting the cores conforming the longitudinal circulation chambers of hot water; b) They are very complicated to assemble because the union points always remain inside once the elements are juxtaposed, which makes the threaded means employed difficult to access; c) They also do not have a system that prevents the environment and the walls where the radiator is installed from getting dirty; and d) As the front surface or seen side is always closed by the surface of one of the extreme lateral fins, cleaning of the interior of the radiator is only possible with its removal.

All these faults are resolved with the subject of the request, according to which the elements in question are obtained by extrusion; it has two independent bodies guilty at will; it has a filtering system; the surface or side seen is perfectly continuous and smooth; and cleaning can be done quite conveniently.

One of the two main bodies integrating said elements is obtained by extrusion of aluminum or the like, providing a substantially prismatic hollow profile delimited by two side walls (1) and (2), united by another (3) which, with the (4 ), give rise to a space which can be divided, if appropriate, by means of a wall (5), into two longitudinal chambers the symmetrical (6). From the wall (4) leave your fins (7), which remain located on the front side, contrary to what happens with the executions of the mar ohé, where these fins appear on both sides of the element.

Ce môme corps plat (8), agissant en tant que vraie aplique individuelle, possède de plus un bord (12).This front side, composed of the fins (1), (7) and (2) (Fig. 7), are covered by the second body, which is flat, also in extruded aluminum (8) and removable, which has a "U" section, having end branches (9) provided, in the present example, with internal teeth (10), cooperating with other exteriors (11) located on the walls or fins (1) and (2) (Fig. 2), all this to allow fixing for hanging with elastic pressure. This same flat body (8), acting as a true individual aplicate, also has an edge (12).

Said body (8) has a multiple mission, since it is he who precisely converts the radiator into a convector; it serves as a filter carrier for dust; and as it is removable, it allows the cleaning of the own radiator. To serve as a filter, its upper (13) and lower (14) ends are folded towards the element, in this case having ends the orifices (15) and (16) (Fig. 4). Porous filters (17) are applied to the upper end, to the lower end or to both, the task of which is to hold the dust particles entrained by the rising current of hot air by the effect of convection along the conduits bounded by the radiation fins.

For the coupling or external connection of said elements there is provided, both at the upper and lower ends of each element, a ring (18), with threaded periphery, being fixed to one end of a tube (19) which passes through the chambers (6) and exits through the opposite part, where it unites with a staggered ion (20), on which the connection can turn empty (21), with exterior faces. The pipe (19) is provided with pairs of diametrically aligned orifices (22), always communicating with these longitudinal chambers (6) for the free circulation of hot water.

The tightness to the two zones described is ga rantie, as regards the ring (18), by the elastic seal (23) and, as regards the washer (20), by the seal (24). For the hermetic screw connection between this male ring (18) of an element inside the female connector (21) of the adjoining element there is a third elastic seal (25), placed in this part (18) and which is applied, at the time of connection, to the front side of said washer (20).

In order to also seal the ends of the longitudinal chambers (6), the plugs shown in FIGS are used in this case. 5 and 6. These plugs have three parts, an outer (26), an intermediate (27) and an inner (28), the latter made of elastic material and having the shape of an inverted case. The part (26) is, in this embodiment, double, because it must be applied to the two chambers (6).

A part cela, il se trouve à ladite pièce (28) une concavité cylindrique (37), s'adaptant à la périphérie du tuyau correspondant (19) (Fig. 3 et 4).The outer plug (26) has walls (29), which are assembled inside the vents of these chambers (6) (Fig. 3). These walls are provided with aligned holes (30), intended to introduce a safety pin (31) (Fig. 3). The second component (27), in addition to having centering pins or pivots (32) and an opposite wall (33), is provided with a very important edge (34), which has the mission of exerting a close internal sion against the four side walls (35) of the elastic component (28), also carrying aligned holes (36) for placing the pin mentioned above (31). Apart from that, there is a cylindrical concavity (37) in said part (28), adapting to the periphery of the corresponding pipe (19) (Figs. 3 and 4).

The general assembly and working form of a convector radiator based on elements produced in accordance with the improvements explained are as follows:
  • As the chambers (6) remain at the rear and the radiation fins are located at the front, to create the passage or the duct for the hot air, the closing flat bodies (8) are necessary, applying and being fixed by any system, for example by that shown in the drawing. These bodies (8) are those which make convection possible with this radiator.

To couple one element with another, we use the ring (18) (female) which penetrates the fitting (21) (male). The tightening can be done quite conveniently since these parts remain perfectly accessible (Fig. 7). Sealing at this point is ensured by the appropriate seals described above.

L'eau chaude qui coule dans les tuyaux transversaux (19) pénètre toujours dans les chambres (6), quelle que soit la position des orifices de passage (22).Hot water flowing in the transverse pipes (19) always enters the chambers (6), regardless of the position of the passage openings (22).

Finalement le serrage également étanche des extrémités desdites chambres (6) peut se faire avec les bouchons des Fig. 5 et 6, qui, une fois réglée, sont immobilisés à leur position par une goupille (31).Finally, the tight sealing of the ends of said chambers (6) can also be done with the plugs of FIGS. 5 and 6, which, once adjusted, are immobilized in their position by a pin (31).

As for the filtering system available to this convector radiator, it suffices to indicate that both if the filtering parts (17) are placed at the upper end of the flat or applied body (8) and at both ends, what the result is that the dust particles entrained by the rising current of hot air remain retained and do not soil the environment and the walls as is the case with conventional radiators.

  • a) Les deux corps indépendants et couplables qui constituent l'élément correspondant (corps conducteur de l'eau et corps plat ou applique couple ble à celui-ci) sont obtenue par extrusion d'aluminium ou assimilé, ce qui fourni les profils continus décrits;
  • b) Le raccordement d'un élément à l'autre se fait à l'extérieur d'eux;
The fundamental points to be taken into account in this invention are as follows:
  • a) The two independent and couplable bodies which constitute the corresponding element (water-conducting body and flat body or a couple torque applied thereto) are obtained by extrusion of aluminum or the like, which provides the continuous profiles described. ;
  • b) The connection from one element to another is made outside of them;
  • c) Said flat or applied body before has a multiple mission, because it is it which makes the radiator act as a convector; it serves as a hubcap and gives continuity to the front surface by the juxtaposition of the edges (12); he is carrying the filter (s); and, as it is removable, it allows easy cleaning of the assembly.
