Abstract

The thread guide consists of a drum located at the level of the end of a receiving tube and driven at a very low speed by a reduction motor. The drum carries two radial guide-fingers which are longitudinally and angularly spaced, the radial guides defining limits between which the thread can travel. When the thread is disengaged from the guide finger nearest the motor, it is gripped by a return finger move to the other end of the drum. The assembly may be used in a thread winding mill.
