Abstract

The metal ladder comprises two uprights joined by profiled rungs each having a supporting portion which is flat. The line (3) perpendicular to the flat portion (2a) of the rung (2) is at 7 deg.-8 deg. to the lengthwise axis (5) of the uprights (1). The design ensures that when the user is in the normal and partly inclined working position on the ladder, his or her feet rest on the flat portion of the rung, thus minimising fatigue.
