Abstract
An automatic production process is used for the manufacture of laminated armatures for small electric motors, such as those used in refrigeration plants. It ensures a uniform distribution of bonding resin. The assembly process is based around an indexing table (12) that has six stations. Station one (S1) allows the magnetic laminates to be loaded onto a former. The table is indexed to pass the stack through a bath of liquid resin. After leaving the bath the stack is rotated to spin off any surplus resin (54). The stack os transferred to a second indexing table for compression (57) followed by location on a former.
