Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a molding resin from adhering to commutator members and a shaft, by preparing a coreless coil of prescribed form, molding the coil with the resin while protecting the lead parts of the coil with an insulating plate and by connecting the lead parts to the commutator members.
CONSTITUTION: A self-fuse-bonding electric wire is wound by a prescribed number of turns, thereby making a unit coil 1'. A prescribed number of such unit coils are overlapped with each other and pressed by a die so that an armature coil 1 of prescribed form is manufactured. Lead wires 9 are inserted into the insulating plate 8 and held thereon. The armature coil, the insulating plate and the lead wires are set in a metal mold so that the coil, the insulating plate and the lead wires are molded with the resin. After that, the lead wires 9 are connected to the commutator members and the armature coil 1 is bonded to the armature shaft. Since the commutator members and the shaft are not coupled to the coil in the resin molding, the resin does not adhere to wrong parts although no special protective film is provided.
