Abstract

The mounting or support is for an electronic component within a UHF enclosure. The design being adaptable to differing enclosure geometries and providing D.C. supply connections and decoupling from it over a wide frequency range with good heat dissipation characteristics. The component such as a diode, is shaped such that it has a centre stud at each end of its generally cylindrical form and a circumferential shoulder at one end. The shoulder has an insualting surface over which is laid a conducting annulus forming a capacitor. The component is held within the enclosure via the two studs, one entering a mass sufficiently large to ensure good heat removal, the other leading directly to the supply terminal.
