Abstract
An inclination transducer is used to detect and measure the change in inclination of a moving part, being fitted directly to the part. The transducer has a cylindrical drum (1) made of insulating material. An electric printed circuit (4, 5) is fitted inside the drum (1). A ball (11) is free to move inside the drum (1). The printed circuit (4, 5) consists of two flat conductors following a zigzag path inside the cylindrical case. The metal ball (11) bridges the gap between the conductors (4, 5) to give a measure of its position inside the case. The position of the ball (11) changes with the inclination of the base (16) carrying a bracket (15) attached to the drum (1).
