Abstract

A multi-range electrical measuring instrument, comprising a base; an electrical measuring instrument mounted on the base; a movable cylindrical ceramic support body rotatably connected with the base for movement between different range-establishing positions; printed circuit means mounted on the support body, portions of the printed circuit means containing at least one electrical component and having different impedance values; and means responsive to the position of the support member relative to the base for selectively connecting the printed circuit portions with the measuring instrument to establish different operating ranges. The instrument described can be made more easily than a conventionally assembled instrument, and performs reliably over a period of time.
