Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour l'oxydation catalytique d'oxyde de carbone. L'oxydation sélective catalytique de l'oxyde de carbone dans un mélange gazeux contenant de l'hydrogène et de la vapeur d'eau et sensiblement saturé en ce qui concerne sa teneur en vapeur d'eau est améliorée par réglage du mélange gazeux de manière que le mélange gazeux soit insaturé en ce qui concerne sa teneur en vapeur d'eau avant mise en contact de ce mélange gazeux avec un catalyseur pour l'oxydation sélective de l'oxyde de carbone dans le mélange gazeux. Application à l'élimination de l'oxyde de carbone contenu dans un gaz pour la synthèse d'ammoniac, qui est produit par reformage catalytique à la vapeur d'eau et conversion catalytique d'hydrocarbures normalement gazeux.
