Abstract

Selon l'invention, la plaque est principalement constituée de perlite et d'un liant, de préférence une résine urée-formaldéhyde. La perlite est écrasée après la mise en forme finale de la composition mais avant le durcissement du liant ce qui augmente ainsi de façon importante sa résistance mécanique. Par rapport aux procédés connus pour fabriquer des plaques minérales (procédés humides), on réalise des économies d'énergie importantes. La composition du produit selon l'invention peut contenir jusqu'à 95 % de perlite en poids.
