Abstract

The upright for the cupboard, especially for an office cupboard, consists of two rectangular, metal, parallel parts (1, 2) which are flat and symmetrical in relation to the vertical centre plane (3). Near the vertical edges, are at least two semicircular grooves (5) which back on to each other and are reinforced at that point by spot welds (5a). The front edge at least of the upright has a C shaped section (6) which forms a butt-strap and stiffener. The ends are bent inwards (7) and fit inside the grooves (5). One of the grooves (5) of the part situated on the inside of the cupboard constitutes a recess for a profiled rod which can be in the form of a bolt.
