Abstract

The control mechanism has a first control cable (14) connected to a selector (40) which pivots on a support (38). A lever (12) is connected to the selector (40). A second control cable (16) is connected to a mechanical relay (44). This relay (44) is mounted on the support (38) and can be displaced transversally with respect to the pivoting connection. The mechanical relay (44) has a fork (78) which extends near to the lever (12) so as to displace the relay (44) when the lever (12) is transversally displaced. A centring spring is arranged so that one end presses against the support (38) and its other end against the selector (40). One of the ends of the spring (42) is situated near to the pivoting connection. A selector (110) is fixed with respect to the support (38) at a distance from it. This selector (110) has a slot (112) in which the lever (12) engages.
