Abstract

Coulée continue d'une barre d'acier de longueur dépassant celle d'une lingotière à fond fermé dans laquelle est introduit de l'acier liquide venant d'un récipient de coulée, la lingotière étant éloignée du récipient de coulée pendant le processus de coulée, de l'acier liquide étant coulé en complément, du récipient de coulée, à travers la croûte solidifiée et en direction du fond de la lingotière. On fournit de la chaleur à la partie de la barre qui se trouve hors de la lingotière; on uniformise et on règle la température du coeur liquide de façon telle que sur la majeure partie de l'extension longitudinale de la barre, elle soit supérieure au liquidus de l'acier. Applicable à la coulée d'acier continue.
