Abstract

The tree trunk cutting machine has a carriage (1) supporting the trunks on a horizontal carriage (1) in front of a vertical frame (4) which has a vertical chain saw mounted on it. The trunk is rotated by means of chains (2) which are nearly horizontal, incorporated on the carriage, but which slope down towards the saw. So that the trunk can be rotated forwards or backwards to make successive cuts, further vertical chains (3) are mounted on the vertical frame. The arrangement prevents the logs from falling from the carriage.
