Abstract

The brussels sprouts picking machine has a travelling chassis with a cutter head, through which the stem supporting them can be passed to cut them free. It has a cutter for the stems standing in the field and a movable clamp securing them during cutting and while they are fed into the cutting head. The clamp can be arranged to slide and turn in the chassis, between a vertical position where it moves up and down and a horizontal one where it moves to and from a knife head.
