Abstract
La présente invention est relative à un produit immunogène atoxique à base de toxique du tétanos caractérisé par les paramètres suivants : a. contante de sédimentation S degrés 2 0W 5,66 +- 0,34 ; b. réaction immunologique avec de l'antitoxine du tétanos : partiellement identique avec celle de la toxine du tétanos ; c. réaction immunologique avec le fragment C : non identique ; d. poids moléculaire, déterminé par une électrophorèse sur gel à l'aide de dodécyl sulfate sodique, 95 000 +- 5 000. e. clivable par réduction en une fraction ayant un poids moléculaire de 45 000 +- 2 500 et une fraction qui est identique du point de vue immunologique au dérivé connu à chaîne légère de la toxine du tétanos et ayant un poids moléculaire de 48 000 +- 2 500 (déterminé chaque fois par électrophorèse à l'aide de dodécyl sulfate sodique). Ce produit est utilisable pour préparer un vaccin antitétanique.
